• The Phar Lap Trust is seeking a number of contributors to financially support this project at all levels. 
• There will be a limited number of naming rights for sponsorship, permanent recognition on the “Lap of Honour”, supporting advertising, the ability to align your organisational profile with the attributes of Phar Lap, involvement in a project that will capture hearts and minds.
  

Platinum Sponsor

The Phar Lap Trust is seeking an overall project sponsor whose name will become synonymous with the attributes of the great Phar Lap. The Platinum Sponsor of this project will be supported by an individual agreement that aligns with your company objectives and profile. This may include the following:

• Naming rights of the statue 
• Name profiled on the statue plinth, Lap of Honour and statue signage
• Recognition in Website and other promotional activities supporting the project 
• Use of the statue in promotional activity 
• Photo opportunity of completed statue with sculptor, company and local dignitaries 
• A bronze miniature of the statue (maquette) complete with engraved plaque showing company name and logo 
• A permanent name engraved on a profile position on the Lap of Honour. 
• The Phar Lap Trust will provide an advertising sign in your name at the racecourse for a fixed term period. This will be exposed to TV advertising on race day. 
• Acknowledgement in publicity documents as the Platinum Sponsor. 
• Sponsor’s name recognised and acknowledged wherever possible in public engagements, publicity documents, promotional material and media communications. 
• The right to use the designation “Platinum Sponsor”, Phar Lap Trust 
• Invitation to launch functions, speaking engagements and other publicity 
• Preferential invitations to promotional functions and fundraising events

• An engraved, half size bronze miniature of the statue maquette 
• A permanent name engraved on the Lap of Honour. 
• The Phar Lap Trust will provide an advertising sign in your name at the racecourse for a fixed term period. This will be exposed to TV advertising on race day. 
• Acknowledgement in publicity documents as a Gold Sponsor. 
• Sponsor’s name recognised and acknowledged wherever possible in public engagements, publicity documents, promotional material and media communications. 
  The right to use the designation “Gold Sponsor”, Phar Lap Trust 
•  Invitation to launch functions, speaking engagements and other publicity 
•  Preferential invitations to promotional functions and fundraising events

Silver Sponsors
(Contributions of $15,000 and over)

• Use of the statue in local promotional activity 
• An engraved, quarter size bronze miniature of the statue maquette
• A permanent name engraved on the Lap of Honour 
• Advertising space at the racecourse providing free signage for a fixed term period to be agreed. 
• Acknowledgement in publicity documents as a Silver Sponsor. 
• The right to use the designation “Silver Sponsor”, Phar Lap Trust 
•  Recognition in public engagements, publicity documents and media communications. 
• Preferential table at launch function and fundraising events
   

Valued contributors to this project are given the benefit of

• A permanent name engraved on the Lap of Honour 
• A print of the statue signed by the sculptor 
• A certificate of appreciation from the Phar Lap Trust 
• Reserved advertising space at the Phar Lap racecourse. 
• Acknowledgement in publicity documents as a bronze contributor.

• The right to use the designation “Bronze Sponsor”, Phar Lap Trust

• Sponsorship contributions at the Phar Lap Trust for advertising/naming rights/other promotional activity can be covered with the provision of a tax invoice and are likely to be tax deductible. 
• Cash donations to the trust are governed by the rules applying to charities and receipts can be provided that would allow individuals to apply for the charitable donation rebate administered by IRD. 
• Donations from public companies and other charitable trusts will be acknowledged by official receipt and confirmation on Phar Lap Trust letterhead.
